Tea tree oil is a summer must have with all its natural properties it’s usages are perfect for the warmer weather and everything that comes with it.
Tea Tree Oil is effective against mosquitoes, flies and midges, you can make your own insect repellent spray combining a few drops of tea tree oil and water or a few drops on a rag or tissue in the area you want to remain bug-free should do the trick.
Tea tree oil is also effective against ants. Apply a thin layer of tea tree over any ant trails.
If you didn’t manage to repel them in time and you’ve already been nibbled, tea tree oil can ease the discomfort of bug bites. It’s natural properties are known for reducing redness and itching.
Tea tree oil can be used to make a safe and effective deodorant. Antimicrobial and antifungal properties make tea tree oil effective against body odour. Tea tree oil should not be applied directly to the skin and should be diluted with a carrier oil such as coconut oil or olive oil.
Mix a drop or two with warm water to rinse any intimate areas that may need a freshen up on a sunny day.
Tea tree oil is also used deodorising feet. Applied directly, It’s antibacterial and antifungal properties are effective for nail fungus and athletes foot. Sweaty feet can benefit from a foot rinse in water and tea tree oil and don’t forget to add a few drops to smelly shoes.
It’s still important to keep those hands clean so add a few drops to your hands for protection against illness causing bacteria and viruses.
It feels good to be prepared in case of a small wound when out and about. Tea tree oil will disinfect the wound helping to protect from any infections.
Continue to use tea tree oil on a wound to boost healing and decrease healing time. It can be used by adding a few drops to a new plaster or dressing when applied.
Has the sun got you feeling sweaty and caused some breakouts? Tea tree oil is as effective as anti- acne medication. Mixed with water and applied daily, can reduce the amount and severity of acne.
Does the hot weather cause extra itching, red and scaly skin? Although there is no known cure tea tree oil can help to ease psoriasis symptoms mixed with coconut oil and applied a few times a day.
Suns out, salads out. Did you know rinsing your fruits and vegetables in a water and tea tree bath can reduce growth of mould on fruits and vegetables keeping them fresher for longer? Be sure to rinse and dry produce afterwards before consuming.
